Cheryl Cole pointless and unworthy of Prince Harry?

Cheryl Cole pointless and unworthy of Prince Harry? She’s the perfect modern day celebrity and would blow Kate Middleton out of the water

Dean Piper hits back at Mirror Online columnist Fleet Street Fox, claiming that Cheryl Cole will always be the nation's sweetheart

So Fleet Street Fox blogged last week about Cheryl Cole and why she's one of the UK's most pointless celebrities.
I disagreed with pretty much every word the frisky little garden pest said and wanted to stick up for the Geordie lass we all have a soft spot for.
So here goes....
The first thing Foxy - who has never met Cheryl before - needs to realise is the day and age of celebrity we all live in.
These days the celebrity world is full of pointless twits that don't have a shred of talent. There's all these TOWIE morons, the reality show dipsticks like Kerry and Katie Price and the Kardashian clan and their shameful self promotion and desperation.
I like to call these types of celebs 'hungry'. They're beyond desperate and have an urge to be famous purely for being famous.
Then you have them claiming they're celebrities and worthy of adoration purely because of the fact that numpty fans of their shows buy their horrendous products.
Cheryl couldn't be further away from this type of celebrity and I fear Foxy needs to get back to celebrity school.
There's a load of names to pick on - but I don't get how Cheryl is one of them.

Cheryl Cole performs at Capital FM's Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium
Cheryl can sing (as well as all the other stars) and she can certainly dance
She's the perfect modern day celebrity and I'd much prefer my child growing up wanting to aspire to be like her than some perma tanned freak.
Yes, she's not the best singer in the world. But you have to admit she's got something. You could even say she's got the X Factor (sorry, couldn't resist).
She can sing, dances brilliantly and was propelled to a whole different level when she joined the X Factor panel.
I know immediately some of you reading this are screaming at the screen saying "she can't sodding sing - she mimes" but she sings just as much as the majority of artists do these days. Get over it.
Cheryl's personality is very funny. She's cheeky, inquisitive and she likes a laugh. Foxy said her joke about the Queen wanting to stand near her on the Jubilee line-up was a typical arrogant comment from her.

Cheryl would make the perfect addition to the Royal Family in my opinion.
Another side of Cheryl that I don't think Foxy has quite grasped is the "I NEED ATTENTION" comment when describing Cheryl.
She definitely never screams that. The girl's been through a crappy divorce to a dirty old footballer and she was humiliated to have everything played out in front of the world's media. She hated all that drama when things with Ashley ended and she's taken major steps to get a PRIVATE life these days.
Fair enough, when she's promoting a record or preparing for her upcoming tour dates she's bound to be out there doing her thing and in people's faces.
But when she's not in the public arena she's proved she can go away and be a normal mere mortal without courting the press, the paparazzi and the drama.
These days, she's even able to slip out of the country unnoticed and enjoy holidays and down time

Finally, if I have to hear one more "toilet attendant" comment…! Yawn off.
It was a decade ago, she'd clearly been on the pop in some dodgy nightclub and had a tizzy fit. Who hasn't?
Toilets aside, Foxy decided to make out she knew who the real Cheryl Cole was by reading the negative press, believing the rumours and adding some showbiz spin.
The reality is quite clear. She's still the Nation's Sweetheart. When Cheryl speaks we listen, when Cheryl performs we watch and when Cheryl falls in love we're obsessed.
We shouldn't be knocking a star like her with proper showbiz credentials.
